Mother’s Day Gift Ideas (aka Kim’s Favorites)

Mother’s Day is later than usual this year, giving us a little more time than usual to mail out our cards and shop for any gifts. In my case, Mother’s Day is always the same week (if not exact same day) as my birthday. Because of this, Scott and Lucy have always gone out of their way to make it extra special, and our plans this year will be the same as the last 5:

We go plant shopping, choose a new plant or two to fill the inevitable dead spot (or two) in our garden, we brunch, we mix up cocktails, and then Scott does the dirty work of getting my chosen plants in the soil. This was my first Mother’s Day with Lucy, 2018.

If you’re on the hunt for a gift for your partner, Mom, friend or motherly figure in your life, I’ve rounded up a guide of items that I personally love, have gifted to others, or have purchased and enjoyed!

Mother’s Day Gift Ideas

1. Get Sh*t Done Bundle, $73

I’m a huge proponent of CBD for mild anxiety and pain relief, and this bundle allows us hardworking women to focus when we need it, and wind down at the end of a busy day. The sleep melts are a favorite of mine! I keep them in my bedside table.

2. Mini Oval Locket Necklace, $110

This one is in my shopping cart! As a proud mom that’s always eager to share photos of Lucy and Kitty, what could be sweeter than having them close at all times? Available in two lengths.

3. Custom Message Shortbread Cookies, $38

Why send a card when you can send a message on cookies? I’m a sucker for shortbread, especially if I can have it with my morning coffee on Mother’s Day morning.

4. Croissant Dôme Hoops, $78

I’m a huge fan of Mejuri for their delicate, timeless jewelry. I’m not a big jewelry person, but Mejuri hits the sweet spot of quality-meets-affordability. I’d love these croissant hoops to layer with the huggie hoops that never leave my ears!

5. Satin Sleep Tank, $34

I recently purchased this tank and paired it with the matching tulip-hemmed sleep shorts. Oh. My. Goodness. They’re soft, pretty and a little sexy, too. I so badly want to be the girl that has cute pajamas, but it’s a treat I rarely give myself. Now is the time!

6. Supersonic Hair Dryer, $429

If you’ve had your eye on this Dyson hair dryer, today is the day to do it! Sephora’s Savings Event is going strong, saving you upwards of 20% off – including Dyson products! Use promo code SAVEMORE.

7. Custom Bar Bracelet, $24

A delicate chain and bar for any custom message. Get creative! Whether it’s all the kids’ names, geo coordinates, special dates or a song lyric, this is a budget-friendly option that can be customized specifically for you and mom.

8. Mini Pearl Dôme Ring, $78

The ring that made me a Mejuri fan for life! The thick gold band feels cool, and the pearl makes it a forever classic.

9. Donuts + Coffee Chocolate Bar, $11

A fancy chocolate bar is a wonderful addition to a Mother’s Day card. The stranger, the better – just make sure you know their preference on dark vs. milk! (Dark, milk, white – I love it all! You?)

10. Chocolate + Coffee Tasting, $95

Looking for an experience? This chocolate and tasting kit includes a live virtual session with professional brewers!

11. Earthenware Low Vase, $25

I used this vase in the Kalvakota living room and stuffed it with faux stems. I fooled them into thinking it was a much pricier piece than it is! As you grab a bouquet, consider gifting it in this vase that can be used again – and would look just as good as decor on a shelf.

12. Waterfall Coupe Glasses, $72

I’m a moth to a flame when it comes to glassware, and these coupe glasses are gorgeous. Now imagine them topped off with this Mother’s Day cocktail!

13. Wireless Bluetooth Earbuds, $199

These are the earbuds Scott uses, but truth be told, I prefer them over my Airpods! They’re a better fit for small ears (hi, it’s me) with outstanding sound quality. Perfect for Mom’s morning dog walks.

14. Cloud Slippers, $21

I’ve tried way too many versions of these slides, but by far, these are my favorite. They’re cushy while still being supportive, and they’ve been going strong for a couple of years now. Available in several colors with over 32,000 reviews giving it a near-perfect rating!

15. Sonos Roam Speaker, $179

We’re huge Sonos fans, and this little speaker packs a punch. We load it into our beach bag, bring it along on picnics and toss it in our bicycle basket when we’re on the go.

16. Cat Stacking Glass Set, $60

These stacking glasses make me smile so hard. Altogether, it’s a cat-shaped conversation starter, or pull them apart for drinks for 4.

17. Crochet Halter Dress, $145

As someone who pulls on jean shorts or wears an oversize button up as a beach cover up, I’m officially adding this to my wishlist. Also available in a creamy white.

18. Rattan Woven Baskets, $37

This trio of baskets sells out constantly and for good reason! They’re awfully cute on our open shelving, but we use them for everything around the kitchen – as a fruit basket, for serving warm bread, and my ultimate life hack: hiding candy within the stack.

19. Fujifilm Instax Camera, $150

You know I have a deep love for my mini Instax camera, and this one offers full size photos! Gift this to the mom who never prints all the amazing photos she has on her camera roll. Instant gratification.

20. Discotheque Candle, $26

We just finished burning this scent, and it’s like a walk through a garden. Fresh and inviting with a hint of musk.

21. Custom Pet Sweatshirt, $140

If there’s ever an opportunity to honor a pet, I jump on it. This custom gift is an embroidery of your BFF’s face on the prettiest vintage-look sweatshirts.
