Congrats to Kaitlin and Anna Kristina, the two winners of a $25 print credit towards the Print Shop! We’re no longer taking comment entries, but please feel free to keep pinning your favorites. Your input means so much to us!
We first started our Week’s End posts as a personal challenge to start enjoying our days off more fully, saying yes! to more invites and enjoying the company of each other and this beautiful city. It morphed into a photo diary of sorts, and those posts turned into some of our favorites; I photograph now more than I ever did while in college (where I practically lived in darkrooms; oh, the sweet smell of fixer!), and we took it a step farther by sharing our travels with you, too.
Over time, you left us kind comments and emails asking for prints, postcard sets and the like, and I made a mental note to make your request a reality. But the perfectionist in me needed time to research and source printers, paper and quality. While I’ve just about hashed out most of those details (we’re thisclose), I realized that I have so many photos. And so? We need your help.
In other words, we want to bring The Print Shop to life. Here’s how:
ONE. We created this Pinterest board dedicated to The Print Shop. Our goal is to take those 80+ pins (from past posts, travels and explorations) and narrow them down to 25-or-so reader favorites.
TWO. In an effort to curate the best Shop we can, we encourage you to like and/or repin anything you want to see in the soon-to-be Print Shop – as many as you’d like! What’ll fill that empty wall space in your living room? Your bedroom? Your desk at work? See the whole pinboard right here. You’re input would mean the world to us, really.
THREE. As a thank you for your pins and likes, leave a comment on this post after you’ve liked and pinned to your heart’s content. We’ll select 2 of those comment entries to receive $25 off their first order in The Print Shop – whoot!*
If you don’t have a Pinterest account, no worries! We still want (need!) your input, so simply leave a comment below with your favorite photos; we’ve numbered them, so hopefully it’ll make commenting easier, too. Plus, you’ll be automatically entered to win cash money towards The Print Shop!
SOON. With your input, I’ll be working behind the scenes to edit and list your favorites (as well as a few of ours) in our Etsy store, and we’ll celebrate The Print Shop opening with a giveaway – in about, oh, 30 days. There. I said it. By laying it out in black and white, that’ll be the kick in the pants I need, right? And for the sake of really nailing down the date, how about a March 1st giveaway/opening? Lets do this.
*Winners will be selected using random.org at 5pm CST on Friday, February 1st and will be emailed directly on how to redeem their extra print bucks.
You always have such nice shots to go along with your posts. I liked several on your board, but especially the ones of the Chicago skyline. My favorite? Chicago #4.
I’ve liked my favorites on Pinterest. Looking forward to the shop!
So many lovely options! :) I found myself wanting to like everything, haha! :)

Done and done – LOVE your photographs – all of the ones with color (especially Chicago #6 – Pink Jelly and Vancouver #2 – Orange Chairs) just make me so happy!! Not to mention they would look AMAZE-balls (yes I said that) in my bathroom :)
Pinned!! Love the paris photos so much!!
I went through and liked (loved!) the ones I would genuinely buy. I’ve never been able to do much traveling but your Paris photos made my heart all fluttery.
Keep up the good work!
Great photos! Especially love this Chicago ones.
Congrats on this development! Just finished liking on Pinterest. I love Paris #4 and SF #2!
Really love the seagulls at Amelia Island. I love seagulls because of Jonathan Livingston Seagull, and my daughter is Amelia. :) I have also always really liked pictures of carnival rides, especially ferris wheels, against the sky. So, I’ll be buying for sure (if I don’t win)!
I’ve repinned my favorites and I’ll be seriously sad if some don’t make the cut! I have my heart set on a couple for sure!
So excited you are doing this! I have always admired your photography. I liked all my favorites.
What a great idea! I’m browsing now, but it’s so hard not to like them all :)
I love this! Pick me!!!
LOVE that you’re launching the Print Shop! Your photography skills are amazing and are nearly half the reason I love checking in on the blog! Kudos and congrats!! -alichia-
Pinned! So hard to choose my favourites…they were all so good!
Love all of the prints, but my favorites are vancouver #2, paris #4, and seattle #1. Best of luck with the new shop!
Pinned! My favorites included the few of the California coast. I miss my home and would love to have some of those in my apartment here in cold Philadelphia.
Happy Happy Joy Joy! I’m off to “like” your pics :) Thanks!
LOVE all the love for the Mitten State! :) I’ve liked my favorites on Pinterest. :)
I AM SO EXCITED!
I’ve liked probably 15 photos, and repinned my absolute favorite (you know which one it is! ;) and can’t wait until the shop is liiiive!
So hard not to like them all! I tried to be selective… and then I kept liking :)
Yay! I love this idea. I’m a fan of your work and travel documentation. :)
I was most drawn to the more colorful pictures that were less identifiable to a particular city, but that being said my most favorite were: #11, #4, #14, #1, #3 and #15.
Will have any from Nashville?
love this – so exciting! i liked my faves on the pinterest board!
I made my selections on Pinterest. I liked everything that I would likely buy. Can’t wait to see what you pick.
Beautiful photographs! I especially like Paris #4 and Chicago #5.
I think my favorites are 2, 5, 6, and 11. The bike lane has a special place in my heart since I started commuting by bike this past summer.
Can’t wait to see which ones you go with! :)
What a great way to use Pinterest! Picking favorites is always the hardest part.
Hooray! I’ve pinned a bunch- but now I’m re-thinking all the art in my entryway. :)
Well, I didn’t see it on your pinboard, but I am in LOVE with the pic of the yellow bridge with blue sky in the background, posted recently. I think you should consider adding it! Beautiful work!
Woo! This excites me! I repinned Vancouver (SMILE) and Seattle #1 (of the ferris wheel). Both of those made me smile when I saw them. :)
So many great options!
Such a great idea!! I love all the Pittsburgh ones, but especially the yellow bridge. I LOVE that.
Oddly i’d come back to pin a couple of your images only to find that you were asking for us to do that especially! Anyway, i’ve added a few to my Pintrest account – antzonline.
pinned! i love the Seattle reminder that sometimes we have a blue sky!
I might be a little Chicago-biased….but they are all lovely!
Love your style! The abstract ones are my favorite. Would love a few in my bathroom!
I love these! My faves are of Paris and pops of color (which I liked officially on Pinterest as well). I’m excited to see what makes the cut, and I’d also love to learn about your decision-making process for nailing down printers, etc. I’ve always thought it would be fun to have my own photos mixed in with well-loved art, but don’t know how to go about printing them to last. :)
i love your photos. your typography shots are absolutely great, and i can definitely picture them hanging on the wall in my house :)
Love this! My two faves are #13 of the sheep and #4 of the bar sign. Looking forward to the new shop opening :) I’m just waiting for some pictures of Jack to pop up. I’d love to have one for my home :)
Pinned my favourites – so many of these shots are photos I wish I would have been able to take in places I have visited before, but lack your skills! The Paris ones in particular are amazing. Can’t wait to be able to buy a few!
Yay! I’m excited for your new venture! I liked many on Pinterest!
As a Chicago resident I’m partial to the local ones (especially #11), but I also love “Telescope.” Thanks for the fun new Pinterest board to peruse!
i’m a long time lurker but i think this is the first time i’ve commented! (which is no reflection on how much i love your blog, as i love it) yay we get a chance to buy you’re amazing images – i’m so excited as i’ve always loved your images :D
Would love a ybh print to hang on my wall!!
I started pinning right away when I saw you start posting but had no idea that’s what this was for! I’m gonna go like away because I LOVE them all!
The colours are all so bright and interesting, but the ones that really appeal to me are the subtle/simple ones – ‘smile’ and ‘bar’ are just fantastic! The best of luck with your new venture :)
wow – love so many of these but especially like paris #4 and the grand rapids print with the star.
