Help Wanted: The Print Shop

Congrats to Kaitlin and Anna Kristina, the two winners of a $25 print credit towards the Print Shop! We’re no longer taking comment entries, but please feel free to keep pinning your favorites. Your input means so much to us!

We first started our Week’s End posts as a personal challenge to start enjoying our days off more fully, saying yes! to more invites and enjoying the company of each other and this beautiful city. It morphed into a photo diary of sorts, and those posts turned into some of our favorites; I photograph now more than I ever did while in college (where I practically lived in darkrooms; oh, the sweet smell of fixer!), and we took it a step farther by sharing our travels with you, too.

Over time, you left us kind comments and emails asking for prints, postcard sets and the like, and I made a mental note to make your request a reality. But the perfectionist in me needed time to research and source printers, paper and quality. While I’ve just about hashed out most of those details (we’re thisclose), I realized that I have so many photos. And so? We need your help.

In other words, we want to bring The Print Shop to life. Here’s how:

ONE. We created this Pinterest board dedicated to The Print Shop. Our goal is to take those 80+ pins (from past posts, travels and explorations) and narrow them down to 25-or-so reader favorites.

TWO. In an effort to curate the best Shop we can, we encourage you to like and/or repin anything you want to see in the soon-to-be Print Shop – as many as you’d like! What’ll fill that empty wall space in your living room? Your bedroom? Your desk at work? See the whole pinboard right here. You’re input would mean the world to us, really.

THREE. As a thank you for your pins and likes, leave a comment on this post after you’ve liked and pinned to your heart’s content. We’ll select 2 of those comment entries to receive $25 off their first order in The Print Shop – whoot!*

If you don’t have a Pinterest account, no worries! We still want (need!) your input, so simply leave a comment below with your favorite photos; we’ve numbered them, so hopefully it’ll make commenting easier, too. Plus, you’ll be automatically entered to win cash money towards The Print Shop!

SOON. With your input, I’ll be working behind the scenes to edit and list your favorites (as well as a few of ours) in our Etsy store, and we’ll celebrate The Print Shop opening with a giveaway – in about, oh, 30 days. There. I said it. By laying it out in black and white, that’ll be the kick in the pants I need, right? And for the sake of really nailing down the date, how about a March 1st giveaway/opening? Lets do this.

*Winners will be selected using random.org at 5pm CST on Friday, February 1st and will be emailed directly on how to redeem their extra print bucks.

I love these! My faves are of Paris and pops of color (which I liked officially on Pinterest as well). I’m excited to see what makes the cut, and I’d also love to learn about your decision-making process for nailing down printers, etc. I’ve always thought it would be fun to have my own photos mixed in with well-loved art, but don’t know how to go about printing them to last. :)ReplyCancel
