‘Where did you get your headboard?’ This is easily the most asked question about our home, so I’m sharing 20 round headboards I found online for you!

A long, long time ago (aka 4 years ago), we found a honey oak headboard on Craigslist. I loved it instantly, then redacted the thought immediately, telling myself it was ‘too 80s.’ So 80s, I had told Scott. But then I couldn’t stop thinking about it, and then Scott couldn’t stop thinking about it, and then we decided: We can do this. We can make this work. (1 bucket of Citristrip and a can of stain later, we did!)

Fast forward to today, and that headboard takes the cake for the most asked about item in our home. When something is thrifted, vintage or antique, I cringe having to tell you – it’s vintage, sorry! – because I’ve been there. You find the perfect rug-armchair-lamp-table whilst scrolling through your feed, only to find out that it’s one of a kind.

So today – today! – I’ve finally pulled together a list of rounded headboards for you, which, wow, I quickly realized was no easy feat! In fact, I couldn’t track down a half-circle wooden headboard similar to our own, unless it was a DIY. But I did, find countless rounded and curvy headboards, and I narrowed the selection down to my top 20. Numbers 4 and 17 steal my heart, and how cute is number 9 for a kid’s bedroom?

1. rattan loop | 2. round iron platform bed | 3. curved headboard (custom upholstery options!) | 4. anaise cane bed | 5. gold metal | 6. vintage curved bed | 7. emerald velvet | 8. queen ferndale | 9. bohemian carved | 10. larkin metal bed | 11. velvet channel

12. circle cane | 13. abigail gold | 14. arched canopy | 15. curved leather | 16. buchanan upholstered (custom upholstery options!) | 17. olive green arched bed | 18. manzanita cane | 19. larissa bronze | 20. curved upholstered (custom upholstery options!)

Yes, your bed is definitely vintage. Here are two other vintage ones. Not the same though. There’s this one on etsy: https://www.etsy.com/listing/823890103/vintage-rattan-headboard?ref=shop_home_active_1&cns=1
Another on etsy: https://www.etsy.com/listing/825146792/gorgeous-vintage-split-reed-rattan-queen?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=Gorgeous+Vintage+Split+Reed+Rattan+Queen+Headboard+in+the+Manner+of+Gabriella+Crespi&ref=sr_gallery-1-1&organic_search_click=1
I almost love #12 but the top offset circle makes me twitch.
Haha, fair!
I do love a good cane/rattan headboard! #18 would be my fave
So effortlessly chic!
So I’ve followed your blog since last fall. Your bedroom inspired me to paint mine dark! I also LOVED your headboard. So I started searching for rounded headboards. And couldn’t find one I loved. But, during covid I found your headboard! For $25 bucks. I rented a uhaul and drove 4 1/2 hours each way to get it! Followed your process and it turned out! It was my first time refinishing something. I’m so glad I held out as I got the one I really wanted. What are the chances! I’m so happy I love it! And I love your blog. You have such great taste. Wish I could attach a photo!
Barbara! That’s AMAZING! We would looooove to see a photo if your headboard, could you email us? Team (at) yellowbrickhome (dot) com
Love your room (and this headboard!), but it looks small…like mine. I live in a 1938 Tudor and our bedroom is smaller with lots of unique angles and an alcove, which affords a ton of character, but doesn’t leave us a ton of extra space. Is your bed a queen? We currently have a queen that also allows for two nightstands and extra space. We’ve measured and we can keep the nightstands and squeeze in a king bed, but all that will take up the entire wall. What’s your feelings on putting a large bed in a smaller room? Wondering if our dreams of a king would feel too cramped.
Ours is a king, and our small room is why we only have 1 nightstand and a smaller floating nightstand. I think this is 100% up to you!!
Thanks for your reply! I think we’re going to go for it! We’re also planning on making our own bed from scratch. That way we can get just the right dimensions to make it fit in the space and under our window without blocking it. Fingers crossed!
Ooh, keep us posted! We’d love to see!
Love this room! What color of black is the wall behind the headboard??

Hey :) Wondering where you got these bedside sconces… big fan
They were a lucky vintage find many years ago!
