As you may have noticed, we like to paint. A lot. Picture frames, furniture, bicycles, you name it, we’ve sprayed or brushed it with a fresh layer of color. Painting is easily the least expensive way to change up the look and feel of anything you may have grown a little wary of, and this could not be more true of the walls of your home. But alas, nothing can ruin a fresh paint job more than some sloppy lines or a roller mark on a clean white ceiling.
I’m no painting expert. Far from it, actually. I have merely found a way to all but eliminate that pesky “cutting-in” step that we all love to hate. That said, I think your best bet is to scoop up a Scotch-Blue Painter’s Tape Applicator. It’s the one simple tool that has helped me avoid annoying mishaps time and time again.
This handy device allows you to simply run your tape along a corner or edge of the wall for the cleanest, straightest line you’ve ever seen. This little guy has literally saved us dozens of hours over the course of our collective painting lives. Not only can you tape off trim, door frames, floors and ceilings, but this applicator also comes in super handy for accent walls when changing colors at a corner junction.
When it’s all said and done, next time you head to the hardware store to stock up for your latest and greatest painting adventure, save yourself some future headaches and grab this applicator. It’s no gimmick, this is the real deal. Trust me, you’ll thank us later!
