… a 50 lb pup on a tiny, 10 lb ottoman. (Dang, how does he make himself look so small?) If our boy hadn’t licked the couch clean and eaten his Molly Mutt, perhaps he wouldn’t be in this situation. But since he’s settled on his latest sleeping niche, he does actually seem quite happy. Oy, it just wouldn’t be the same around here without his silliness. And yes, you can quote me on that.

My dog does the same thing (or tried to). I brought home a leather pouf a few weeks ago to use as a footstool. The cat or the chihuahua might be able to nap on it, they haven’t tried and the sides are pretty high. My 60lbs mutt climbed right up and sat down. His bum barely fit and he looked so silly. He was convinced that it was a new dog bed and tried to curl up. He lasted about five minutes before he tipped of the side. He gave my the saddest look, he was so dissappointed in my bed picking skills. He hasn’t gone near the pouf since, but has taken to sleeping in my bed after I go to work.

Our dogs will all three pile up on whatever soft item they can find. Soft being a relative term. So long as their dainty rear ends don’t touch the horrible-awful-hard-torturous floor, their good!

Our dog Freckles curls up in teeny, tiny balls like this too! Sometimes he even tucks his nose under his hind leg. I’m not sure how his 43lb frame manages to get in some of the positions he manages, but it’s hilarious to watch!

Dogs, really good company when the folks aren’t around. My dog Samantha stares at me when I’m on the computer. Maybe it fascinates her. Haha!
