We’re talking through our favorite classic halloween decorations. These picks will never go out of style an will last a spooky lifetime.
Classic Vs. Trendy
When it comes to holiday decor for every season, we lean toward tried-and-true classics. For halloween, skeletons, bats, pumpkins and witches never go out of style! These quintessential items seem to compliment our late 1800’s home in a way that just works.
We also like to reuse and repurpose our decor year after year. Purchasing classic items allows us to build on our decor collection every year instead of starting from scratch. Outside, we’ve added a few of these skeletons and dozens of these bats over the last couple of years. This year, we added floating brooms for a truly spooky (but not scary) exterior display.
And last year, we invested in this Christmas tree storage bag (in black of course) that’s perfect to contain it all. At the end of the season, we fold up the skeletons, toss everything into the bag and store it in the attic until next fall. The 7.5 foot ‘tree bag’ leaves us plenty of room to grow. Even with 4 skeletons, three brooms and a bunch of smaller items already inside, we’ve still got room!
Our Classic Spooky Favorites
Indoors, we prefer similar classic styles. Throw in some ravens, bleeding candles and a couple of haunted houses and you’ve got yourself a party! These items add to the mystique of any indoor space and should last for years (outside of the candles, of course!). #2 paired with #13 would definitley look incredible as the focal point of a spooky centerpiece!
