Just as we’ve done every year that we’ve lived in this yellow brick casa, our building is hosting its annual summer yard sale tomorrow!
Scott and I have been curating a chalkboard list of “to-go”s, checking it twice (and thrice), and hauling loads from our basement storage to our hallway – gathering our sell-ables to clean, primp and price. As you’ve seen here, we’ve already begun rearranging our living room as we shuffled out a handful of items, but now, we have this big bare wall, too (and a crazy cable to wrangle):
Good-bye, shelves (and curtains and end table and Otto… and the rug, maybe?).
Like last year (and the year before), the building bike shop will hold their sidewalk sale at the same time – whee! If you’re in the Chicago area and you’d like more details, please send us an email – and keep an eye out for our signature hot pink signs. There is a long list of goods that’ll spill onto our lawn, and we’d love to see you after 9 am! Please, no early birds until we’ve had our coffee; we’re much nicer then.
For a full rundown on how we coordinate and prep for a sale, check out this post. Oh, and the above bike is not for sale – but it was last year! See the first three years here, here and here.
