Three Cheers for 30 Years

Today marks a special day in history. Exactly 30 years ago, my beautiful, talented, hilarious wife was born on an Air Force base in the Florida panhandle.

Since Kim and I met a little over 9 years ago, my life hasn’t been the same. I’ve been inspired by her creativity, motivated by her unending passion for the things she loves, and along the way, fallen stupidly, unapologetically in love with her.

Kim is the most honest, genuine person I’ve ever met and I can say with complete certainty that I would not be the person I am today without her by my side for 90% of the last decade.

Here’s to a Happy 30th Birthday and to 30 bazillion more. I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you. Loves ya!

(Full disclosure; Kim was opposed to this post making it’s way into existence. Oh, well. Deal with it, lady.)

PS: Congrats to the winner of last week’s Jess LC giveaway, Lili!

I got home from the gym, had my after-workout-meal, and decided to relax and check out some of my favorite blogs. Yellowbrickhome is at the top of my list, of course! After reading through the most recent post, I decided to write a comment, and wish Kim a belated happy birthday. But that’s when I saw it – I had won the Jess LC giveaway!! I couldn’t believe it. I skimmed right past the winner results as I read down the page. Why would I pay any attention to the name of the winner? I wouldn’t be me – I never win anything. Except this time! Thank you Yellowbrickhome, and congratulations on your 30th, Kim! I feel so special and lucky! One might think I’d won the lottery!
