What Is Way Day?
Way Day is Wayfair’s biggest sale of the year, with deals across all categories up to 80% off! We recently visited our local Wayfair store in Wilmette, IL, and we came home with throw pillows (as we do), along with a handful of kitchen essentials and a sense of excitement and countless ideas for our upcoming room designs.
We joked several times throughout our visit that Wayfair is a super-sized playground for anyone who loves all things home. Each department was stocked with items large and small, with many areas staged in full room set-ups. If you’re a visual person (hello, hi, it’s us!), this was so helpful for us to imagine how to use these pieces in our own space!
I could have spent hours in the lighting department, although playing with the faucets and shower heads was a close second; we’d never seen anything like it before! There are two levels of anything you could need for your home, and not a single detail was left unnoticed.

Wayfair for Kitchen Essentials
Our Red House kitchen renovation was fresh on our minds, so we spent a good amount of time in the kitchen department, perusing their selection of stoneware dishes, cocktail glasses, cookware and knife sets.
We ended up finding several things to check off our list, such as this stunning cutting board, set of knives, trio of serving bowls and these glass storage containers. We’re firm believers that items in your home can be both beautiful and functional, and everything we brought home pulls double duty perfectly.
