Knock, knock. It’s November! What. Since we’re already bustling about making holiday plans of our own, we know some of you probably are, too! We’re working behind the scenes on a (slightly restructured) gift guide for this holiday season, but in the meantime, we wanted to share a few ideas for the ones that will be hosting us. Whether you’re safely gathering for a potluck family meal, Friendsgiving or making the rounds after your meals to say hello to the neighbors, we’ve got you covered with gifts (starting at $6!) that will make your thoughtful hosts smile.

- A nice bottle of olive oil, $38 | Martha Stewart says it’s the bees knees, so it must be true! I love gifting olive oil, since it’s a cooking tool we use near daily. Every time they pour a splash in the pan, they’ll remember your sweet gesture.
- The Korean Vegan cookbook, $25 | I’m a new but quick fan of this cookbook’s author, Joanne Lee Molinaro. Joanne shares recipes alongside stories of childhood and love, all why paying homage to her family’s history.
- Salt cellar, $30 | Like olive oil, nice salt has the potential to elevate ordinary recipes in unexpected ways. This handsome little guy is totally self-contained and will look great sitting out on their counter!
- Marble wine chiller, $30 | Chilled white wine goes great with holiday meals and champagne is obviously great for ringing in the new year! This marble beauty is will get a workout in the next few months.
- Champagne stopper, $22 | This handy gadget keep champagne fresh and bubbly for days – some would say weeks. Say no more! We have, use and love this stopper.
- ‘Warm Musk’ diffuser, $37 | When you’re looking for an alternative to a candle, a simple and beautiful diffuser keeps spaces smelling great (while looking cute).
- Decadent hand soap | They’ll never splurge on this simple luxury, so do it for them. This one is a highly rated cult favorite!
- Transforming face mask sheets, $34 | After a long day of prepping, entertaining and (hopefully) feasting, they’ll look forward to this when the last guest has said goodbye. Alternate option: This budget version has great reviews!
- Terra cotta planter, $35 | This versatile planter would look as beautiful in a modern home as it would a traditional home. Gift it to them with a real (or faux) plant that they can enjoy for years.
- Brass bottle opener, $6 | You’re already bringing your favorite 6-pack to the gathering, so make it extra special by leaving behind a classic + pretty opener they can add to their wet bar.
- Floral bouquet puzzle, $19 | After the festivities, break open a puzzle over great conversation (and more drinks!). We love that this one has an organic shape and rich colors.
- Fleece throw, $39 | For them to cuddle up all day, the day after. This one has awesome reviews and comes in several colors!
- Photo ornament, $9 | It’s the sentimental things, really. Fill an ornament with a photo of their beloved pet or a favorite memory together.
- Local take and bake!, varies | I’m linking to our favorite take and bake (Chicago friends, you all know and love Spinning J, right?!), but give them the gift of breakfast the next morning from a local favorite. Think: biscuits, cinnamon rolls, fresh bread. Just make sure it requires no more than popping in the oven.
