Kim’s Mother’s Day Gift Ideas
Some people struggle to find gifts for their significant others but, honestly, we’ve got it pretty easy in our family. Kim and I are far from shy about dropping hints or just outright telling each other what we’d like to receive for upcoming birthdays and holidays. That’s not to say we don’t love a surprise gift, because we definitely work those in as well, but we’re open communicators around here. I may have already purchased a secret-but-not-so-secret gift for Kim’s big day this year, but the hope is that she forgets about it by the time the holiday actually rolls around.
We put together this roundup of Kim’s favorite Mother’s Day picks this year to help narrow down the right show of appreciation to your mom, mother in law, spouse or maternal figure in your life. We already own or have gifted most of the items on this list, so they all come highly recommended. Happy early Mother’s day to all of the moms, step moms, and maternal figures out there and we hope your day is truly special.
Mother’s Day Gifts

1. Round Tabletop Frame
Framed photos from Framebridge are always a fantastic gift idea! These petite tabletop frames are less than 6 inches round, so they’ll fit anywhere to bring a smile to mom’s face all year.

2. Custom Hand-Painted Pet Portrait Keyring
Who says you have to be a mother to a human to celebrate Mother’s Day? Pet moms deserve all of the love and recognition too and this handsome leather keychain will make her smile every time she reaches for her keys.

3. 11:11 Vanilla Perfume Set
Kim and I have been using Lake & Skye 11:11 perfume for years. It’s a perfect unisex vibe that blends well with other fragrances for mixing and matching. 11:11 Vanilla adds warm vanilla and marshmallow undertones for a slightly sweeter take on the classic.

4. Rounded Wooden Photo Booth Frame
We love a photo booth, but photo strips can be kind of a pain in the butt to display, especially if your fridge isn’t magnetic. These specialized photo strip frames are the perfect solution. Frame a favorite memory with mom and she’ll love it forever.

5. Marble Trinket Tray
There’s nothing like a trinket tray to corral a pile of stuff into an intentional moment. This small marble tray will fit on almost any surface to catch keys, jewelry, change or any other tiny item that needs a place to call home.

6. Sapphire Huggies Earrings
Kim and Lucy both love a tiny hoop earring. These are subtle, beautiful, hypoallergenic and eco friendly.

7. Charcoal Apotheke Candle
One of our favorite candle scents of all time! It’s smoky without smelling like a campfire and woody without smelling like a pinecone. Not to masculine, not too feminine. Perfection.

8. Pet + Women’s Matching Pajama Set
For the pet mom who has everything! What’s cuter than mom and pup lounging in a set of matching pajamas? Probably not much.

9. Architectural Digest at 100
AD provides so much design inspiration that it’s almost overload. This century-long retrospective will bring mom all of the inspiration she can handle.

10. Justine Mini Basket Bag
Mother’s Day usually kicks off ‘outside as much as humanly possible’ season here in Chicago and every mom needs a simple, stylish bag for her neighborhood adventures. Kim specifically mentioned how perfect this bag would be for riding out triple tandem bike to the farmer’s market on Sunday mornings.

11. Custom Name Ring
A subtle, beautiful way to display the names of her kiddos or other family members. Delicate but not fragile hits a perfect balance.

12. Instax Mini EVO Camera
I’m not being dramatic when I say this camera changed the way we take photos. We’ve used a classic Instax mini for years, but we recently upgraded to this top of the line model. It can shoot directly onto polaroid film or print from your phone! No more taking multiple photos so everyone in your group can have a copy. Get the shot and print as many copies as you like. A true game changer.

13. Emma Chamberlain Stripe Waffle Robe
Kim’s been hinting that she aspires to become a ‘fancy robe person’ for lazy days at home. I suspect its only a matter of time before this exact robe arrives on our doorstep.

14. Silky Shiny Sheer Socks
I’ve gifted Kim multiple pairs of sheer socks over the last year or so and she’s already requesting more! They’re an easy way to dress up an outfit in an unexpected way and they seem to elevate the look of any shoe.
