02| Dear Two Flat, The Walls are DOWN (+ a Happy Accident!)

‘Dear Two Flat’ is an off-the-cuff journal-esque vlog series that chronicles the renovation of our 130-year-old Two Flat in Logan Square, Chicago. Here’s entry 01, if you’d like to start from the beginning!

We’re back with another entry in our Two Flat video diary! Today’s Dear Two Flat starts at the tail end of August, and it brings us up to right before we left for Minneapolis. We discover all sorts of good surprises (I swear those never happen!) – like hardwood floors, taller ceilings and a whole lot of salvaged moldings. We also have a revelation about the basement due to a happy accident, and we quickly take a dip in the pink tub before we meet with our lender. (Okay, that sounded weird.)

You can also view the video directly on YouTube right here.

Video Notes:

Here’s an extensive photo gallery of the Two Flat.

What I’m wearing: These sunglasses, these leggings and these shoes!

Video music is by Birocratic: “Sombre, Green”

Our vlog was filmed with this lightweight camera

Vera Floors in Chicago did the polished concrete floors in my condo 7 years ago. They still look great. ReplyCancel

Great Video!  Do you have any resources for encapsulating the trim?  We have a 1910 3 family we’re slowly renovating and would love to keep all the trim too!ReplyCancel
