Vlog: A (Personal) Q+A, Part II of II

In case you missed it, here’s part I of this II part Q+A. Thank you for following along!

In this vlog, we’re answering all the questions you’ve asked about our family, pets and life – the personal side of things. We learned that you’re curious about attractive toy storage (we hear you!), money, our age, and our plans for expanding the Vargo trio. And we might, maybe cheat and answer a Chicago related question by checking our phone (guilty), and we’re giving you the scoop on my grandma’s stuffed shells recipe. We’re sharing all those details and more in the second part of our Q+A, so let’s go!

Note: You can also watch this video on YouTube here

Video Notes:

Lucy loves these muffins for an afternoon snack (or a breakfast treat!)
Our sweet CC’s adoption story.
We share our tips for keeping a pet-friendly home here, including how we choose and protect our upholstery.
You can see my grandma’s stuffed shells here (and now I’m suddenly very, very hungry!).
This vlog was filmed with this camera and lens.
And all sources and paint colors for many items in our home can be found right here!

I think it’s awesome you so far have plans to have one child! We have a planned only and it’s taken 5 years for people to stop asking when/if we’ll have another. We’re a perfect triangle and love it!
Also, your nursing advice was spot on! I’m an IBCLC and spend a lot of time in the hospital helping dad’s see their vital role in feeding, while not actually doing the feeds!ReplyCancel

Thank you, Caitlin! And definitely – Scott was a part of our nursing journey just as much as me and Lucy!ReplyCancel

I was going to say the same thing Caitlin did! I’ve also only got one. She’s 2.5 and the sibling questions just. don’t. stop! Mostly from co-workers and strangers. We are perfectly happy as a power trio!ReplyCancel

Have you watched The OA on Netflix? We watched the pilot last night, and I’m already sold (I’m a VERY picky TV watcher). But just a warning, there’s a NSFW scene near the beginning, so if your TV faces the road (like mine), shut the blinds! OMG, these shows nowadays are killing me… my neighbors must think we’re perverts.

I’m also super impressed that you eat so well with your schedule. Whenever we’re DIYing, diet is usually the first thing out the window. Nothing like asking “what’s for dinner?” at 11pm while covered in debris.ReplyCancel

Haha, we haven’t seen it yet, but thank you for the disclaimer! We’ll add it to our list.ReplyCancel

Clearly the best option is to set up the GoPro on Jack – so there’s a constant CC livestream! And I love the restaurant recommendations – my husband and I have a goal this year to have a date in a different neighborhood every month, so this is prime inspiration for Logan Square.ReplyCancel

Clearly! We realized that after we turned off the camera. Or a GoPro on each of them, and we splice together the perfect video. :DReplyCancel

    You guys are adorably refreshing!ReplyCancel

I just love CC (and Jack)! What a sweetie. I also enjoy the fun personal video Q&A! We’re Shark Tank fans over here too.ReplyCancel

Thank you so much for this. And always for all of the things. TV rec: Killing Eve. So good. So so good. I’m hoping to visit Chicago in the near future (my moms family is from Waukegan and we moved when I was 5) so I’ll definitely have to come back and write down the list of restaurants!ReplyCancel

    • Kim3.28.19 - 8:55 PM

So sweet, thank you! And come visit during the Flash Sale!ReplyCancel

Yay UC! I work at the UC Alumni Association and didn’t know you guys were grads. What did you guys get your degrees in?ReplyCancel

    • Kim3.31.19 - 9:22 AM

My degree is in Fine Arts (photography) and Scott is in Business Communications. :)ReplyCancel
