We spent a night of our holiday weekend in Madison, Wisconsin, along with two good pals (also seen as “the girl with no pants,” above, which by the way, I can vouch for her shorts under that rain coat). We ate too much and drank the same. And although the day held a constant, obnoxious rain, we still managed to walk along every block downtown, while weaving in and out of the Taste foot traffic. By 3 am, we were hit with an unexpected wave of nostalgia as we mingled amongst the University students, chowed on late night sandwiches, and finally, hit the hotel beds. It was a little too fun, and I remembered that I’m too old to be up so late.
Of course I spent Monday doing non-stop mini projects around the home, because I am, as we know, slightly insane. Scott, on the other hand, took to a morning bike ride – only to come home and help me tie up said projects. Ah, what a guy.
Fab photo diary! My weekend was spent catching up on some sleep, after a week being at work I always need to revive myself somewhat…
I always love your photos, Kim. We hung around home, but I had basically the same Monday – lots of little projects around the apartment. My to-do list had gotten out. of. control.
such great photos! i spent mine battling a cold :)
me too, courtneyoutloud. i was relegated to the couch. blech. writing you soon, homie.
It was so cool to see Madison pop-up on my Google Reader! I live here and am getting married at the rooftop of the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art, where you took the photos of the PVC sculpture and the Orpheum sign. So cool! Hope you enjoyed your visit here, although it was a cold and rainy weekend.
Thank you, all!
Alix, what a beautiful place to have your wedding! We really enjoyed our stay and wish we could have stayed longer…
I agree, Alix! So fun to see some great Madison pictures! I spent the weekend building a shed and was bummed about the rain Saturday!! But I’m thankful to have family in town that came over to get the job done despite the weather! We since Thursday we felt hot, cold, wet and very wet but productive!
Gorgeous photos – i love Wisco!
