The Week’s End

We took full advantage of the Windy City this weekend, acting as tourists while shopping along Michigan Avenue, pausing only for coffee and the long lines of our city’s first chicken heaven (cause for celebration!). Rain came and went, but that didn’t stop us from also partaking in the first inaugural Dog-Walking Club, courtesy of Miss M and Mr B’s mom and pops.

What we didn’t do? Not a thing around this casa. Unless you count my insane snooze fest on Sunday afternoon – napping on the couch (for more hours than I’d like to admit) while Scott and Jack took to Netflix documentaries.

How about you?

Your photos are always so beautiful, and you have such a way of capturing everything around you. We still have to check out that Marilyn statue which we had only read about while we were away. And we were so, so happy you all could join us for dog walking club. We’re looking forward to many more in the future!ReplyCancel

I’ve only ever been through Chicago airport… because of an 8 hour delay with lightening! It looks wonderful to wander around though, that Marilyn statue is enormous!

Haha, Courtney, the chicken is simply from the best fast food restaurant ever known: Chick-Fil-A! We just got one in Chicago, and we’ve been in heaven ever since.

As for other yummy treats to eat, boy do we have a ton of recommendations! Check our our answers to this post, under “What is your favorite thing to do in Chicago and where do you just have to go out to eat?”:

Oh, Ruth, I hope you weren’t stuck at O’Hare! Worst airport ever – and you’re too far away from the city to sneak in some fun! You must come and enjoy all the city has to offer.ReplyCancel

Hahahahahah! Chicken Shack? Yum! Ours was not nearly as eventful. An early morning run with the pups solo (no clubs in my hood) a little pool time after, some TV and a LOT of laziness.ReplyCancel
