The (Week and) Week’s End

We spent the previous weekend and week in sunny Amelia Island with Scott’s mom and pops. I did absolutely nothing (laying in the sun all day counts for nada), while my man and his dad caught fish every morning for their lunch. Nights included frequenting local haunts for drinks, ice cream, and great people watching, and when morning came… well, we continued our simple routine of pure nothingness. It was just what the doctor ordered for that perfect summer vacation.

A big, huge whopping thank you to our wonderful (amazing and fabulous) guest bloggers: Our Humble A{Bowe}d, Making this Home, Courtney Out Loud, Besotted Brand, Love and a Six Foot Leash, Mommy Needs a Minute, Hernando House, and 4 Men 1 Lady. Phew! You kept this little corner of the web cozy and warm while we took a step back to breathe, enjoy, and just relax.

    Welcome home. :)
These pictures are great – I can’t believe that one with the little shark! And I adore the dog photo – he looks like he knows you’re taking it and is trying to appear nonchalant!ReplyCancel

  • Beautiful photos! It looks like you two love birds had fun, too. I’m assuming Scott caught a baby shark. Cool! Did you get a chance to read HG?ReplyCancel

Amanda, I actually brought along 2 “pink” books but I had so much fun falling asleep in the sun, that I only got about 10 pages into the first book! My friend reads the HG book (books?) so I’ll have to borrow them from her!ReplyCancel

To those wondering, my dad and I caught about a dozen of those tiny sharks over the the long weekend! Apparently there’s a busy shark breeding ground a few miles to the North of the island… of course I didn’t mention this to Kim until we were on our way home!ReplyCancel
