I’m sharing the prettiest hanging planters, hooks and arms to fill all the empty corners in your home. Adding a punch of greenery up high is a cheery way to brighten up any room!

The Tree House dining nook is one of my favorite little corners in the world, not accidentally. We overthought and designed a sweet, petite storage banquette and salvaged the tree from our yard for that hunky table. And because no detail is too small, we (quite literally) topped it off with greenery in an otherwise empty corner – always the finishing touch.

Whenever our dining nook shows up online, you (eagle eyes, you!) hone in on the small stuff – which, honestly, is how I know you all are my people. Every time, you want to know where our hanging planter + hook came from, and I have good and bad news. The good? That extra long arm is a steal! The bad? The hanging planter is several years old and no longer available in-stores or online. But after many requests, I’m rounding up 20 of the prettiest hanging planters and good-looking hooks + arms to pair them with! A cute-y pie planter is easy (enough) to find, but a cute-y hook? Strangely, not so much. Below, I’m sharing the ones that top my list – and resisting the urge to fill every empty corner in our home.
Tip: My gut always wants to go BIG(!), but remember that hooks, arms and brackets will have weight limits. Most items will provide this information in the description.

Oooh, which one?!
So well-timed! I’ve been looking for something to hang a bedside plug-in pendant from and these are great candidates!
When I needed a plant hook, I bought this from IKEA: https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/skraell-hook-in-outdoor-40350143/
It’s $3! The gray parts are slip-on, so underneath, it’s just a loop of metal. You can hang an s-hook directly onto it or even tie your hanging planter to it. I also find it much more secure because it screws into the wall at three places and can hold chairs and stuff.
Smart!
Thank you for sharing these great resources! I have a corner in our dining area where I think this would really look nice. Do you have any advice for plant care in these types of pots? I always make sure to have a saucer under pots for drainage. In this case, do you use a pot-in-pot approach? If that makes sense..
We do a few things! So if there’s a hole in the bottom, we just water them in the sink and allow them to fully drain before hanging again. If there is no drainage hole, we put little pebbles in the bottom (before the soil) to help! We actually LOVE these from IKEA: https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/odla-growing-media-clay-pellets-50288546/
Thank you! This is great to know- those pebbles look like a great solution!
These are great! I’m curious if you use real plants at the tree house or if you stick with faux since you aren’t there all the time? If faux…that would be another great roundup :)
We use real ones at Tree House, but ones that are drought tolerant – like succulents, snake plants and ZZs. Then we just keep an eye on them when we pop up there, which is about twice a month! As for faux, girl, I got you: https://yellowbrickhome.com/faux-plant-round-up/
This post is gold. Thank you :)
Where do I get the pot and hook in the picture next to the outlet?
