Painted… and Printed and Framed

Renegade prep has been in full swing this past week, and we can’t believe the annual holiday fair starts tomorrow. Pinch us; it is real. And in addition to our usual pet paintings, we’re bursting to share our newest addition of prints that have been signed, packaged, and even framed.

As loyal fans of the big craft fest (you may have seen our own wrap ups here and here), we’re admittedly a little shy about being the new kids in town. It’s like the first day of school again, albeit minus the new shoes and crisp backpacks. With the many amazing (and seasoned) artists selling their wares, fingers crossed we’ll gain a tip or two from the pros and fit right in.

But perhaps a favorite part of primping and preparing has been gathering and crafting the tools for our visual display. It only made sense that the main stage of our table top should be pulled straight from our own home, allowing the fest-goers a true glimpse into this here casa. Because really, this is where it all started. Throws, bolsters, and even a re-purposed cabinet (left over from our office, take three) will make up the stage – and hopefully give those paintings a proper platform.

On a related note, if you’re interested in a custom pet portrait, orders must be placed no later than this upcoming Monday, December 6th, to ensure delivery by December 25th. Yup, the holiday season is in full swing, as we find ourselves bustling about to create, pack and ship off those sweet pets to their respective homes.

Happy Friday, all, and we hope we’re so lucky to meet some of you this weekend! We’ll be sharing a booth with our friend, Grandpa Pete (of bacon-turkey fame), so please say hello if you’re in the Chicago area. And for those who aren’t as wrapped up in craftmania, what will you be up to in the coming days? Trimming the tree or perhaps scavenging the good sales? Share those to-dos.
