Overdue

Before launching The Pet Shop v.2 last Friday morning, I was scared. I was scared that we’d pushed ourselves so hard, we’d worked late into countless evenings – and what if we hear crickets? This was not the case (how many ways can we thank you?), and while it’s easy to see now, we were scared because it was new; it was exciting. I’ve said that before, but how easily we forget.

Afterwards, Scott and I joked that we birthed our version of a proverbial baby. By no means am I comparing our web store to a real-life bundle of joy, but in our own way, we nurtured that store to fruition – and now that it’s live and kicking, we can take a deep breath and enjoy it. To do just that, we spent our Sunday on the lake. We soaked up the sun and took naps in the sand. Even after we came home (and called our dads!), we took to the couch and napped some more. It was long overdue, and we needed that.

Your pictures have me looking forward to some much needed beach time! How warm does the lake get? The ocean here can be hit or miss, usually in the 60’s.ReplyCancel

Alexis, it’s still so, so cold – even in the 50s! But when the air is in the 90s, it feels amazing.ReplyCancel
