This past week an exciting thing happened. Completely forgetting we had asked Scott’s parents if they could so kindly mail us their paint fan decks (because who doesn’t love a deck?), it was like Christmas-come-early when we got the unmarked box in the mail. The kicker is that we had ordered our own paint deck (due to some side consulting jobs, and again, because who doesn’t love a deck?), and both packages arrived on the same day. Bam. How’s that for a sweet, flippin’ Friday story?
Gosh, I don’t know what’s worse. How excited we were to get boatloads of paint swatches, or that my memory seems to be escaping me. Either way, thank you, Mister Mailman, for delivering such lovely (and potentially dangerous) surprises.
And of course, happy Friday, all! Welcome, weekend. We love you. Any exciting plans on your agenda? How about some sweater-wearing-pumpkin-searching-cider-sipping to dos? Mmm. Cider.

I was excited to wake up to chilly (by Florida standards) weather today! My office is always freezing so I’ve been wearing sweaters a lot, but I added a light jacket this morning (because I am a wuss), woohoo! Our weekend to-do’s are: bike rides, finish some posts about the guest room, and MAYBE a trip to Ikea for a sofa table. Here’s hoping I don’t have to work tomorrow!

Yes, actually! I’m wearing sweaters, sewing scarves, drinking cider, breaking in my new boots and just bought a pumpkin today. Can’t wait to carve him up and eat his seeds! mmmmwwaaahhhhaaahaaaa…
Since it’s apparently now rainy season in LA, it actually does feel a bit like fall. I love it.

have you ever been to NeoCon at the merchandise mart? i went a couple of times when i was taking interior design continuing ed classes (you can register as a student — and maybe even as press by being a blogger (not sure though)). anyway, the point is, aside from seeing tons of amazing products, there are lots of freebies. including paint fan decks! because one can never have too many, right? =)
