Painted: Neko and Ti

I had so much fun working on the most recent batch of pet paintings, I just had to share. Meet Neko and Ti. As the proud parents of two female cats, we know what it’s like to bow down in your own home. Meaning, the “girls” are typically the queens of this throne, yet we still love their guts. Obviously, we’re not alone. Hence, Neko:

And then there’s Ti, the little hunter. While he wouldn’t dare hurt a fly, he’ll at least have fun trying. It’s all in the thrill of the hunt anyway. Or so they say.

While capturing the sweet mugs of these “children,” I find that the most rewarding part of the painting journey is not just the satisfaction of completion, rather, I love nothing more than learning about all those things that go into making your pets so unique – from those quirky behaviors to their favorite foods, nooks, and toys. After all, isn’t that what makes them so darn lovable?

On a side note, it’s about to be a blissful 3 day weekend, y’all. Happy 4th to all of you, and remember to play safe (!). As we enjoy a relaxing next few days with friends, we hope you’ll take the time to chill, grill, and dine on a slice of watermelon (or two). xo.

Thank you, Amie! Neko and Ti are actually the fur babies of a recent client. But speaking of our own felines, I really should create their sweet faces, too! (And, of course, Jack).ReplyCancel
