Home Is…

…rumpled sheets and kitty hang-time. While we love a clean, freshly made bed, weekends are in a league of their own. Playing hard on Saturday nights equal down time with the hubs and furballs on Sunday mornings. Sleeping in, scrambled eggs at noon, and midday movies are required. Of course this means no work (guilt free), afternoon naps, and definitely no bed making.

Amen, sister. Which midday movie? Ours was “Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade” yesterday.ReplyCancel

RocketGirl, we watched Me and You and Everyone We Know. It’s just unfortunate that my nap coincided with movie time! From what I saw, I liked!ReplyCancel

Amen to that! Although our Sunday was sleeping in, scrambled eggs, and a(nother) trip to Ikea.ReplyCancel

Your sheets are gorgeous! Can I be a total brat & ask where they’re from!? I totally want scrambled eggs now.ReplyCancel

Lauren, thank you! They were purchased from Overstock.com a few months ago, but I can’t find them on their site anymore. What a bummer, because they were not only affordable, but they’re super cozy as well.

Cute sheets… and cat! Don’t they just live the life, sleeping all day in the sunshine…ReplyCancel

Aah, this was my Saturday. We slept in until 11:45 – I don’t remember the last time we did that! It would have been longer, but Abbey Cat was biting our feet…we rudely forgot to feed her breakfast! oops.ReplyCancel

Got a new mattress a couple of weekends ago. The kitties lost their walnut-sized minds! LOL They got on the mattress before I could put the new (sateen – 330 thread count) sheets on and I had to physically lift them off! When I finally got the bottom sheet on my clown boy kitty, Star, wouldn’t leave as I struggled to get the top sheet on. Needless to say, I ended up with a kitty-shaped lump in the bed! Not until I put on the new fake down comforter would they give up the middle of the bed.

They *stayed* in that bed for four entire days (!) – only getting up to visit their box, eat and drink. I finally joined them on Sunday and we watched a bunch of home oriented television shows.

They were still in the bed when I left for work that Monday! Anybody know how to remove AN ENTIRE KITTY CAT from a mattress? ReplyCancel
