Giveaway: Row Boat Press

This giveaway is no longer accepting entries. Thank you to all who participated!

While the post detailing our spoils from Renegade was a tiny bit technologically delayed this week (it’s coming, we promise), we do have some more Renegade related awesomeness with which to wow you. (On a side note, the laptop survived, and we’re all doing well. Phew.)

We were lucky enough to catch up with our pal, Rick, of Row Boat Press fame at the fest. Rick is one of the nicest guys you could ever wish to meet, and wouldn’t ya know it, he seems to enjoy giving you free loot on this little YBH. Everyone wins. Especially you! Not bad timing considering that the holidays are about to hit full-force, huh?

If you’ve been following us for a while, you’ve surely seen RBP’s work; one of our favorite prints resides above the bed and our secret print hangs out across the room, too – you can get ’em here and here. Well, once again, Rick and Amber are ready to share the love like they did earlier this year!  Seen below, relative newcomer, Bacon, and perennial favorites Chicago Summer and I Have Always Known It Was You were on display at Renegade (among many, many others):

… But what really struck our fancy at the fest were the hot-off-the-press kitchen themed prints they recently unveiled. How awesome are these understated beauties? And really, whose kitchen couldn’t use a bit of colorful art? Especially when that seems to be where we’re all hanging out at this time of year. So back to the whole hey, free stuff! thing, we’ve once again teamed up with Row Boat Press to give two lucky readers their choice of the following easy to frame 20″x26″ poster prints, clockwise from top left: Tools of the Trade 1: Kitchen (in kraft brown or mod orange) or Best Friends.

The details:

Up for grabs: Two lucky winners will receive their choice of Tools of the Trade 1: Kitchen or Best Friends.
To enter: Simply comment on this post with your choice of the prints up for grabs and let us know – why do the best parties (holiday or otherwise) always end up in the kitchen?
Giveaway ends: Tuesday, December 13th, 6pm EST
Shipping restrictions: USA and Canada only, please.
Bonus: Use discount code yellowbrickhome for free shipping on your (unframed) orders through December 25th!

Only one entry for every email address is permitted.  The lucky-dog winners will be selected using random.org and announced on Wednesday, December 14th. Good luck and happy entering!

I’d pick tools of the trade in orange.

  • Carrie @DreamGreenDIY12.9.11 - 10:01 AM

I like “Tools of the Trade 1: Kitchen” in mod orange =)

I think we all end up in the kitchen because it’s typically the most informal space in the house. This is the place to let your guard down and loosen up. We all have a kitchen (might not all have a formal living room) so we are comfy there! Plus people love party food =)ReplyCancel

  • Sara12.9.11 - 10:21 AM

Tools of the Trade in mod orange! In my house everyone ends up in the kitchen because it’s the space with the best flow and the most people can gather together, the bar stools at the counter are great to hang out too.ReplyCancel

  • Emily @ Our Waldo Bungie12.9.11 - 10:21 AM

Our house is so small that the kitchen is a necessary spot just to fit everyone from the party….oh, and the food is there! :)

Oops, I forgot to say which one I’d want – I think I’d totally want the Tools of the Trade in that yellow-y orange!ReplyCancel

  • Summer12.9.11 - 10:29 AM

I like the “Best Friends” print. They have some fun gift options on their website too. Thanks for the discount code:)ReplyCancel

  • Amanda12.9.11 - 11:12 AM

Tools of the Trade print. It’s so cute!ReplyCancel

  • Kelli12.9.11 - 11:53 AM

I love the Tools of the Trade print!
The best parties end up in the kitchen because…that’s where the food and the booze is!ReplyCancel

  • Erica12.9.11 - 11:59 AM

I dig both, but would choose the Tools of the Trade print in orange. Our parties always migrate to the kitchen because our open area and hardwood floors allow us to slide across the floor in our socks (I’ve seen and performed some sweet moves over the years). As you might guess, this is also where the booze is stored ;)ReplyCancel

  • Cherie12.9.11 - 12:04 PM

<3 Tools of the Trade in kraft brown. Parties will only end up in the kitchen if the kitchen has been repainted (walls, cabinets) and redecorated, which is sorely needed in my humble abode. This print would be perfect; I can already picture its location :)ReplyCancel

  • Lawton12.9.11 - 1:03 PM

    Tools of the trade!

Everyone always ends up in the kitchen because they want to hang out with their fabulous hostess!ReplyCancel

  • Rachel12.9.11 - 2:58 PM

I like the Tools of the Trade in orange!

Everyone hangs out in the kitchen because that’s where the booze is, of course!ReplyCancel

  • jessica w.12.9.11 - 3:39 PM

I love the tools of the trade 1: kitchen the most! The kitchen is where food is made and I think people just gravitiate there!ReplyCancel

  • Elise12.9.11 - 3:43 PM

I <3 the tools of the trade print.

My last party actually ended up on my back porch (it was June), though with 15+ people and a tiny porch, a few of us spilled into the kitchen as well – and it was fantastic. The host always has to be in the kitchen some anyway, so everyone else gravitates there too!ReplyCancel

  • Lindsey Penny12.9.11 - 5:26 PM

    love the best friends print!ReplyCancel

  • kaylan12.9.11 - 5:52 PM

i love “tools of the trade” – would love to hang that in my kitchen.

i think the best parties are the ones with my closest and dearest friends – the friends who wouldn’t wait in the living room or dining room to be served, but would gather in the kitchen with me while i cook. some of my most favorite times with friends are when we cook a meal together and then eat – so many memories to be made in the kitchen.ReplyCancel

  • Lindsay12.9.11 - 8:14 PM

The kitchen is warm, smells awesome from all the party goods, and has lots of places to lean while hanging out! I like the best friends print…ReplyCancel

  • Alichia12.9.11 - 9:12 PM

Best Friends is super cute, warms you up just looking at it.

I think parties end up in the kitchen for two reasons a) that’s where the host usually is, lets face it and b) food & drink just bring people together.ReplyCancel

  • Sherri12.10.11 - 7:11 PM

Tools of the trade! Parties end up in the kitchen because that’s where the booze is!ReplyCancel

  • eileen marie12.11.11 - 1:11 AM

Tools of the Trade -mod orange

My fiestas always end up in la cocina b/c our living room & kitchen are in an open floor plan -no one has a choice!ReplyCancel

  • Elisa @ The Self Life12.12.11 - 7:50 AM

Love both of them – but the Best Friends print pulls ahead for me!ReplyCancel

  • Mackenzie12.12.11 - 8:23 AM

I love them both, but I think I would pick “Tools of the Trade” in mod orange.

It’s true- all of our “parties” (our space might be too small for an actual party) end up in the kitchen. I think it’s because that’s where the food is, and the booze. The kitchen table also creates a good space for Apples to Apples playing. It also had the warmest ambiance in the house, and good speakers for the music. It’s my favorite room!ReplyCancel

  • leslie12.12.11 - 8:48 AM

    Best Friends! That’s adorable!ReplyCancel

  • Heather12.12.11 - 9:10 AM

Oooo tough choice! I would love either Tools of the Trade in Orange or Best friends!ReplyCancel

  • Tina12.12.11 - 12:21 PM

Tools of the Trade in orange!

The kitchen is the most happenin’ spot in town, donchaknow? Well, not my kitchen since mine is shaped (and sized) like a school cafeteria line. Ha!ReplyCancel

  • Penina12.12.11 - 2:30 PM

I’d pick Tools of the Trade in brown.
Everyone winds up in the kitchen cuz that’s where the booze is, silly!
Also, the deviled eggs, that’s why.ReplyCancel

  • katie r12.12.11 - 4:28 PM

best friends! my sister would love it in her kitchen!ReplyCancel

  • Two Grads12.12.11 - 6:04 PM

We love Best Friends!! Most parties end up in the kitchen because a good homecooked meal is always a surefire way to a great memory!ReplyCancel

  • Kate12.13.11 - 9:40 AM

I think that best parties always end up in the kitchen because it is the heart of the home.

    And I LOVE Chicago Summer.ReplyCancel

  • Katie12.13.11 - 3:37 PM

I’ve loved the “I Have Always Known It Was You” print for so long!

And I think parties end up in the kitchen because food is a language everyone speaks! It’s comforting.ReplyCancel
