Giveaway: Red Raven Studios

This giveaway is no longer accepting entries. Thanks to all who participated!

With spring right around the corner, what better time than now to prep not only your home for the warm days, but also your wardrobe. It’s this time of year that I find myself yearning for light tees, slip on sandals, and ponytails. And to top off the look? How about some sweet porcelain bling from this week’s giveaway sponsor, Red Raven Studios. Yes, please.

Red Raven Studios is run by girl-in-charge Amy, who hails from my home away from home – Pittsburgh. Gotta love a girl from the Steel City. Amy brings us a unique mixture of jewelry created from clay and collaging it with some pretty nifty decals. And because she’s been working with clay for over a decade, she easily brings a fresh, vintage feel into each of her creations. From snazzy buttons to tear drop earrings to hair pins and pendants, you’ll find a look that’s oh-so-effortless while lookin’ good to boot.

And because we’re all about injecting a little “spring” in your step, we’ve paired with Red Raven Studios to offer up a chic birdie pendant and pair of orange blossom post earrings to one lucky reader. Oh, how these snappy baubles are sure to spruce up a casual tee and your favorite jeans, or simply dress them up with a little black dress and your favorite heels.

Okay, on to those details.

Up for grabs: One lucky winner will receive one bird pendant and set of post earrings, shown above.
To enter: Simply comment on this post, and tell us your favorite get-ready-for-spring ritual. Do you splurge on the season’s latest dresses, or maybe you can’t wait to wash the winter gunk off your windows?
Giveaway ends: Monday, March 22nd, 6pm EST
Shipping restrictions: US of A only, please

Only one entry for every email address is permitted.  The lucky-dog winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Tuesday, March 23rd. Good luck and happy entering!

To prepare for spring, I get a much-needed pedicure and break out the floral print dresses. Even if I layer the dresses with tights and a sweater for a little while longer, it still puts me in a “springy” state of mind.ReplyCancel

My favorite part of spring is no longer needing socks or boots!

What a lovely feature on an utterly lovely Steel City Girl! Her jewelry is even more gorgeous in person, if you can believe it. My favorite ritual each Spring to prepare for the season is to plant sweet peas on St. Patrick’s Day then rake and turn the soil with a spade in my large garden patch so I can start planting peas, lettuce, and other early veggies.ReplyCancel

  • Rachel C3.17.10 - 9:17 AM

Sandals and a pedicure!! Yeah SPRING :)ReplyCancel

  • Amie & Abbey Road3.17.10 - 1:24 PM

I put away my coats, stash my winter boots and break out the sandals!!

Another thing I love doing is opening up the windows. We live in a very old apartment building and during the winter we keep the windows tightly shut. Just yesterday I went around the place and opened up all of the windows (it was over 80 degrees here!!). It circulates the air through the apartment during the day and keeps it cool at night. Perfection.ReplyCancel

  • Amanda3.17.10 - 3:18 PM

I try to resist spring dresses but it is mighty hard! Just driving with the windows down makes me feel all springy.ReplyCancel

  • Else3.17.10 - 5:52 PM

    Have a great day! :)ReplyCancel

  • Nicole W3.18.10 - 7:01 PM

This will be my first spring in years without moving between apartments! I can’t wait to redecorate a little, plant some flowers outside, and box up the winter clothes. Wouldn’t you know it… we don’t have enough warm weather clothes for our new location… looks like we have to go spring shopping too, oh darn. ;)ReplyCancel

  • Vanessa Guerrette3.18.10 - 8:59 PM

  • Katie3.20.10 - 1:38 PM

My favorite way to kick-off my favorite season is hands-down scouring Craiglist for garage sales and other goodies, esp garden supplies. My enormous patio has sat idle since our move in September and I’ve been itching to start a garden since the day I first laid eyes upon it.ReplyCancel

  • Lisa3.21.10 - 6:20 AM

In honor of spring, I’ve planted little flower seedlings. I also go with my mom to a gardening place (or any place with flowers available, usually Home Depot), buy some flowers, and plant them in window boxes.

Last summer, it rained so much that the flowers in the window boxes “exploded” with growth and bloom! A very pretty sight to see, and lift the spirits.

I cannot wait to continue this tradition. Also, maybe these gifts in the giveaway would be a nice gift to my mom.

    Thanks,

    Lisa

My get ready for Spring ritual is pretty simple… Change out the clothes and get out the flip-flops! I probably wear them before it is quite warm enough… But on that first warm, sunny day I just can’t resist!ReplyCancel

  • Melissa3.21.10 - 9:27 PM

    What lovely work!

I welcome spring with open windows, a clean closet, herbs growing in the kitchen, and new high heels.ReplyCancel
