Do It Yourself: Winter 2013

First, can you even get over how well our little chubs is working her angles?

Second, our feature in the Better Homes & Gardens Do It Yourself Magazine is out on newsstands right now! A handful of sweet readers starting Instagram-ing the issue once it hit their mailboxes, nearly causing our hearts to implode with excitement. We received ours last week, and we screamed with every turn of the page (all 10 of them!). You might remember when we shared our experience with the crew this past May, so we were reeling to see it all come to life, hold it in our hands, and read it over (and over) countlessly.

We’re so thankful to have this memory of our first Chicago home, and in a strange twist, it reminded us that although our current house is very much in progress, it will get there.

Big hugs to the team at Do It Yourself, and especially to Brenda, a new friend that styled our itty bitty condo so beautifully. You can pick up the Winter 2013 issue in stores now! (Excuse us while we pass out.)

So excited to see that huge spread of you guys. How awesome! And your new place is looking great- I’m sure it must be overwhelming at times with all of the projects you are tackling but it’s so exciting to read about all the things you do (and I think your new place was beautiful from the start – it’s awesome because it’s yours and from there everything else is a bonus :-)).ReplyCancel

I just love your blog! You guys are doing fantastic work on the new place! I noticed you had dinosaurs on the shelves in your old place. Do you remember where you got those? They’re fantastic!ReplyCancel

    • Kim11.18.13 - 11:15 AM

      Thank you, thank you!

      Cathie, so funny!

Molly, the dinosaurs in our terrarium came from a local plant shop, Sprout (here in Chicago), but if you mean the hot pink T-Rex in the former studio, we picked that up from Hobby Lobby and spray painted it. And thank you!ReplyCancel
