Thinking we’d have a little time this year to make the home more festive than usual (uh, what were we thinking?), we pre-ordered hundreds of buttons, bought a foam wreath form, and we finally got ourselves a hot glue gun. We were planning a little of this:
Cute, right? But – and hence this post’s elusive title – time escaped us, the buttons got lost on a postal truck in Windy City transit (yuck!), and that shiny new gun is still in it’s sealed plastic packaging. For the super easy instructions on how to make this sucker, you can find it here on ReadyMade‘s crafty site. Sure, Christmas is this weekend, but we figure that anyone with a spare hour or two this week (ha!) and a jar of loose buttons could give it go – although we sure couldn’t.
Psst… Check us out over on Brooklyn Limestone today. Our little YBH is being featured on the Home Hop. Sweet!

I got myself in the same situation. I wanted the cute crafty wreath… but it wasn’t in the cards this year.
There’s always next year though! =)
Jenn, that’s what we say, too!
Congrats on the House Hop feature!
I’ve shelved so many holiday projects this year… ah well, maybe next year.
Oh that’s sad. The wreath would have been a cute decoration. Maybe I can work on this now and finish it by tomorrow. HAHA!
